Metaverse : The Playground for Architects

Rate this post

Metaverse, It’s word that is everywhere, I feel like I am going on the internet and all I read and hear is Metaverse this or virtual reality that. It’s the new internet, it’s supposed to be the game changer.
The more I went down the rabbit hole, the more I realized that architects are going to be on the forefront of this new metaverse. But there is a catch, who we consider as architects will probably change as this new world comes to life.

  1. Your video tackles all aspects of this subject, but would love to have a more detailed version. A lot of points were discussed briefly and I see it would be interesting if you can develop on each in separate videos.

Thank you anyway it's a very interesting content!

  2. When you talked about some 18 year old who have never even studied architecture in a professional way , can actually be the creator of the meta verse…
I could see myself being that person… I'm here sitting in my room being 18 and not knowing any knowledgeable thing about architecture but Aspiring to be one… it's going to be great! Thank you for your vision and yes, seatbelts on 🙂

  3. The metaverse will give freedom to architects, design and build anything we want
all those "unrealized projects" will have a place in the virtual world and we'll finally stop wearing black ?

  4. You are foolish to think Metaverse is gonna help the world .. dead souls… In Slavery
Sustainable Building is Gonna be prominent

  5. We cant grow food or drink water in the metaverse, don’t worry folks this thing is not going to take us away from the real world! Nothing can 1% be as fascinating than the real world

  6. This video literally just make me angry about the world. It’s a shame that Meta exists and that human/architects are going to put time on designing sh*t in the Meta. Instead of trying to resolve the problem humanity has.

If you want to make fun stuff do it for your own in Rhino or something, but don’t wast your intelligence in Meta. Meta is just another pinnacle of capitalist society.

  7. Metaverse will just be another slaves market. You dont have to see everything from a architects perspective just because you have channel on Architecture. People who think that Metaverse will change there life are so fool, it will take everything from you. God created a reality and people want to live into a virtual reality huh, it will be prison with no boundaries.

  8. Selling virtual houses? My imagination is limited to how this can be profitable, can someone help me out

  9. FInally, an Indian Architecture student is talking about Metaverse and its importance for Architects. I'm an architectural educator myself, who has been in academia for sometime now. But, when I try to start a conversation such as this, it is usually seen like an Alien concept. I'm liking how your channel is going ahead. Keep up the good work.

Plus, I'm looking for a collaboration with you sooner or later. 😉

  10. I feel in a similar way to architects in the past using comics to present their manifesto and outlook on the future/present state of architecture in the real world (yes is more, Bjarke Ingels) the metaverse may also be used as a similar tool/mouthpiece to present these ideas or beliefs.

  11. We need reality not virtual reality. Architect used to use their skills of drawing to sell their idea of buildings and cities. This new tool is not leading us to better solutions only down the rabbit hole and at the end their is someone making lots of money. Just my thoughts.

  12. If by middle of this Decade, VR sets become available like Smart phones did in middle of previous decade,

then I guess it will be safe to assume that metaverse will be a a…… thing…….

but for now……its a wild dream similar to 3D tv…..

    atleast for me

  13. Amazing video. Patrick Schuhmacher amazes us. What´s going to happen in the Metaverse is not even imaginable. We´re building a Casino in the Sandbox & Decentraland Metaverse right now, that will be owned by our community. A few years ago that would not have been imagineable.

  14. Best video of yours till today, brother. Just loved the storytelling, flow and visuals. Stay safe and keep growing brother.

  15. you have blown my mind, it seems like our future is going to be very different from now, and thank you for making such a video.

  16. Loved it. In the years of my Architectural education been through that mind shift from doing a hand drawn presentation to learning new softwares and new experiences. Seen my teachers fear technology and instill the fear in students rather than being open to new experiences and creating confidence in students for learning something new. Would want more professionals in our field to be open to new experiences and exposure into virtual reality designs and buildings and accept this transitory phase without fear of the known. Because no matter what things are always going to change with technology and we have to learn something new every other day. Keep making such informative videos! Btw love Zaha Hadid's designs and work style. It's very futuristic designs with complex but functional structures!

  17. I was at a retirement seminar and the speaker spoke on how he quit his job after he made well over $950,000 PROFIT within 3months he invested $120,000. I just began investing and i will really appreciate any tips or helpful guide.

  18. Btw i do not think conventional architecture jobs are going anywhere. We will still live in a world that is very much designed by humans for human. But a lot of young architects and many other young professionals will soon start to gravitate towards the job of a virtual architect. This is ofcourse my take. Do let me know your thoughts.
